Eligibility
The Associated Students of Arizona State University (ASASU) currently seeks applications for the 2009-2010 ASASU Centennial Professorship. ASASU seeks to recognize emerging leaders from the junior faculty. Assistant and associate professors, as well as instructors and lecturers are eligible for this award. Candidates for this award must have made significant contributions to the students of Arizona State University through outstanding instruction both in and out of the classroom. Note that nominees may not be graduate students and must be considered actual full-time faculty.
The Reward
The Associated Students will provide monetary awards to up to two deserving professors, and all recipients will hold the title of Associated Students Centennial Professor for the 2009-2010 academic year. The award includes a cash prize of $7,500 and a stipend of $7,500 to be used for the benefit of students and classroom teaching. Appropriate uses of the stipend include improving technology in a lab or classroom and hiring student research assistants. In addition, the Centennial Professor will be invited to conduct one public lecture per year. Finally, recipients of the Centennial Professorship will be honored during a reception in late April.

The application period for this year's Centennial Professorship Award will close on April 2, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. It is imperative that all required information is received by the deadline in the format specified under the ‘requirements’ tab, or the application will not be considered.
