Application Materials
Thank you for deciding to apply for the 2010 Centennial Professorship Award! In order to be considered, your application packet must be received by April 2, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. in the format specified below. All required information must be supplied to be considered for the award.
Your application packet is required to include the following:
- A curriculum vitae highlighting teaching activities and service contributions.
- Teaching philosophy (1-2 pages)
- A personal statement that addresses the following topics (2-4 pages):
- Goals for continued teaching development and innovation
- Contributions to the education of students both in and out of the classroom
- Involvement with the community
- Description of intended use of the award
Also, you may optionally include:
- Up to 2 letters of recommendation from administrators, department chairs, senior faculty (full professors), or community members.
- Up to 2 letters of recommendation from students.
Submission Instructions
Application packets should be submitted as 1 hard-copy and 3 CD copies (NO email submissions will be accepted). Applications may be delivered to the ASASU Office (care of Niesha Whitman) PO Box 871001 (or campus mail code 1001), Tempe, AZ 85287-1001. If you choose to mail your application, please also email the Award Coordinator, Matthew Savage (mwsavage@asu.edu), the day you do so that the award committee will know to expect your application materials. Your application packet must be received by April 2, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. to be considered.
